If you are looking for a smoothie that tastes like an absolute tropical escape in a glass — this is it. This plant-based passion fruit and mango smoothie is seriously one of the most delicious smoothies we have ever made, and that is saying a lot considering how many smoothies come out of the Plant-Based Papa kitchen. The passion fruit brings a gorgeous natural tartness that wakes up your taste buds in the best possible way, and the mango wraps it all together with that rich, sweet, unmistakably tropical flavor that makes you feel like you are somewhere warm and sunny no matter what time of year it is. Together they create something that is so much more than just a smoothie — it is an experience.

Now if you are someone who leans toward sweeter smoothies, no worries at all — simply add an extra medjool date, a drizzle of maple syrup, or half a banana to dial up the sweetness to wherever you like it. We personally love our smoothies on the tarter, less sweet side so we keep it exactly as written, but this recipe is completely customizable and tastes incredible either way. That flexibility is part of what makes it such a great everyday smoothie — it works for everyone at the table regardless of their flavor preferences.

Like every smoothie recipe on Plant-Based Papa, this one is built on our High Protein Plant-Based Smoothie Base — the nutritional foundation that takes every smoothie we make from good to genuinely extraordinary. And the numbers on this one are really impressive. A single serving of this passion fruit and mango smoothie comes in at 29 grams of protein — almost entirely from plant-based sources and before you even factor in any additional add-ins. That is a complete, high quality protein source in a single glass that most people would struggle to match at a full sit down meal.

But the protein is just the start. This smoothie is also very high in folate — essential for cell growth, DNA repair, and particularly important for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. It delivers impressive amounts of calcium for strong bones and teeth, iron for healthy blood and sustained energy levels, and a long list of additional vitamins and minerals that support everything from immune health to brain function to heart health. Passion fruit in particular is a surprisingly impressive nutritional powerhouse — loaded with fiber, vitamin C, vitamin A, and powerful antioxidants that support immune defense and skin health. And mango brings its own incredible nutritional profile to the table, including high amounts of vitamin C, vitamin B6, and folate that complement the smoothie base beautifully.

Tart, tropical, creamy, and packed with 29 grams of plant-based protein — this passion fruit and mango smoothie is the kind of recipe that makes your morning feel like a treat while doing something genuinely great for your body. We hope you love it as much as we do. Fair warning though — once you try it, basic smoothies are going to feel very boring.
